Nia Pitts

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Hello, my name is Nia. I was born and raised in Vallejo, California. I moved to Southern California 7 years ago and never looked back. If I were to describe myself in a few words I would say I am curious, resilient, competitive, and a deep thinker. In my free time I enjoy listening to podcasts/music, trying new foods, taking naps, organizing, traveling to new places, and spending time with my family.

In my clinical work I utilize a person centered approach that is strength based. I am passionate about empowering and affirming my clients by highlighting their innate strengths and unique qualities. I am intentional about building rapport with my clients in a way that promotes trust and confidentiality. I pride myself on creating a non judgemental therapeutic space that offers clients permission to come as they are. While my primary goal is to meet clients where they are, I also prioritize challenging clients in ways that hopefully deepen their sense of self awareness in a manner that evokes change and produces sustainability and lasting fulfillment. At the conclusion of our time together my hope is that you have gained what’s necessary in order for you to evolve into the highest version of yourself.

In regards to education, I attended Laney Community College in Oakland, Ca where I received my Associate of Arts degree. I also attended California Polytechnic University, Pomona for undergrad where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. In June of 2024 I completed my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. I am currently a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #150778. I am under the clinical supervision of Beatriz Sanchez MA PPS LMFT #131315
