Carley Briggs

Hello! My name is Carley Briggs, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate originally from Thousand Oaks, California. I obtained my graduate degree from Hope International University in Anaheim, California in 2018. Prior to and after completing my degree, I worked at a Marriage and Family Therapy practicum in central Los Angeles. During my practicum, I worked with individuals who were dealing with anxiety, depression, substance abuse recovery, and personality disorders.

After spending a year in my practicum, I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where I worked at a residential detox center for over four years. My focus there was primarily on substance abuse, crisis intervention, family systems, and mental health. Since then, I have returned to the Los Angeles area and recently got married.

I find great interest in exploring the causes of mental health and trauma by applying Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and incorporating Christian principles into the process. I am deeply passionate about travel, anthropology, religion, psychology, sociology, and, above all, history. God has played a significant role in my life from the beginning. He has guided me through many challenges and continues to do so. I aim to share faith, positivity, and love with others, just as many wonderful individuals have done for me. Embracing these principles has truly transformed my life, and I am committed to providing the same for my clients.

I am excited about the opportunity to work with you and to build a strong rapport!
